This week we take aim at a few of the finer accommodations in life...
Due to the lockdown situation, the girls were living through, they decided to take a look at some of the unusual accommodations available to travellers.
But first, what were we drinking?
Bianca was drinking a Warburn Estate Rumours Pinot Griggio:
Available from BWS
Sarah was drinking a Brown Brothers Moscato Rose:
Available from Sarah's fridge or LiquorlandAmy was drinking a Liz Richardson Merlot:
Available from Naked Wines
Bianca opened with the Stanley Hotel and we learned that the infamous hedge maze wasn't a hotel staple until 2015
WARNER BROS
We discussed some of the paranormal activity in the hotel (Bianca called bullshit). From all accounts, the 4th Floor has the most activity.
Amy asked; is the blood elevator scene from the 4th floor?
Answer - no, it was on the second floor.
Here are a couple of the pictures as promised:
JOHN MAUSLING
The Friendly Cowboy:
For anyone who is interested in the paranormal, put this on your bucket list. Although Bianca called bullshit, she's still going to stay here one day. Have to see it in person to be 100% sure.Sarah first looked at the Conrad resort in the Maldives with its beautiful underwater room and amazing oceanfront rooms
The second one was the Kakslauttanen arctic resort in Finland where you can stay in a spectacular glass igloo and watch the northern lights as you drift off to sleep. This one is a must-do.
Amy looked at two amazing hotels, the first being the Faralada Crane Hotel in Amsterdam.
How does a crane hotel even work? Have people ever just fallen off? Amy discusses it all!
Amy's second hotel was a hotel with rooms inside of a cave.
The Lookout Cave HotelAfter completing the initial research into hotels and motels situated in caves it was quite clear that there are many all over the world and are not just for those amongst us with a batman complex.
